Physical damage is the most visible problem and the one that fixes best. Album scratches, the line of a fold, a torn corner or the ring damp leaves behind are rebuilt from what surrounds them, which is almost always enough.

A missing piece across a face cannot be rebuilt faithfully. In those cases we say so and do not charge.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work if the photo is badly damaged?
Usually yes. Scratches, creases, damp stains, torn pieces and fading come back well. What cannot be rebuilt is a face that is no longer visible in the original: if the face is gone, anything produced would be invented, and we do not do that. Try it free and see before paying.
Can I just photograph the print with my phone?
Yes, that is what most people do. Put it on a table, window light, no shadow across it, and shoot straight down. No scanner needed.
Are the colours the real ones?
No, and it is worth saying plainly. The colour we apply is the most plausible for the period, the light and the clothing. Nobody can know whether that jacket was blue or green. If you know, write to us and we adjust it.
What happens to my photos?
They sit in private storage, are never published, never sold and never used to train any model. They are deleted automatically after 30 days, and you can delete them yourself sooner from your photos.
Do I need a subscription?
No. You buy a credit pack, spend it whenever you like, and there is no recurring charge. There is nothing to cancel.
